Kayaks are great fun, and with our single and double sit-on-top kayaks, everybody can enjoy being out on the water. It’s a rare opportunity to get out on the Beaulieu River unguided and you’ll be free to explore and splash about on the river’s calm waters. Kayak hire is for older children and adults only. 

River Explorer

£48 per Adult (17+ years) £40 per child (12 to 16 years) 2 hours

The Beaulieu River Explorer experience is only for those of 12 years and over. Expect to cover a good distance on this extended trip through the Beaulieu Nature Reserve. From Bailey’s Hard to Buckler’s Hard and beyond, the River Explorer gives you the option to go further than on our family trips and hire sessions.

Kayak Adventure

£80 Must be 12+ Full Day

Available from April – October

Fast and stable touring kayaks with expert guidance, enables you to quickly get to grips with paddling. You’ll then be ready to explore the natural beauty of the only privately owned estuary in the UK.

This is a full day and is based around the tides, typically we run these ever other weekend. No experience is required, although this is a step up from our other sessions.

Sessions start and finish at Buckler's Hard. We take advantage of the high tide to stop and enjoy lunch in Beaulieu village. Bring your own packed lunch or sample something from the numerous options in the village.

Touring kayaks, you'll likely stay upright, but expect to get damp. There's plenty of room to bring a change of clothes etc with you on the trip. This is perfect for adults and teenagers wanting a proper adventure on Beaulieu River
