We're excited to offer part-time opportunities for young people aged 16â18 to join our team as Junior Instructors & Activity Assistants.
Youâll support our experienced instructors with activity delivery, help set up and pack down bases, and play a key role in ensuring our sessions run smoothly. Itâs a brilliant way to gain outdoor experience, boost your confidence, and work with a friendly, supportive team.
The Role
Support Instructors: Assist our lead instructors on sessions such as canoeing, archery, bushcraft, high ropes and more (you wonât be responsible for leading activities).
Set Up & Pack Down: Help prepare activity bases at the start of the day and tidy them away after sessions.
Safety Awareness: Learn to complete equipment checks, follow safety briefings, and understand industry-standard procedures.
Customer Care: Welcome participants, help groups get kitted up, and support the smooth running of sessions.
Training & Skills: Receive training from our instructor team and work towards industry-recognised awards as your skills grow.
Teamwork: Work closely with our friendly instructor team in an encouraging, outdoor-focused environment.

Youâre enthusiastic, reliable, and excited to gain experience working outdoors. You donât need prior qualifications â just a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Ideal candidates will:
- Be aged 16â18
- Enjoy working outdoors in all weather
- Be happy talking to people and supporting groups
- Be keen to learn new skills and try new activities
- Be responsible, punctual, and a good team player
Youâll receive training so you can safely assist sessions, with opportunities to work towards recognised awards as you progress.

No experience needed â just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
What clothing and equipment do I need?
We provide all safety equipment. Youâll need suitable outdoor clothing for the weather, and we can help advise what works best.
Are there age restrictions?
Yes â this role is for ages 16â18. You will always work alongside a qualified instructor and will not lead sessions yourself.
