Do I need any experience to try archery?

No experience is required. The session is beginner-friendly and your instructor will demonstrate the basics and coach you throughout. It’s designed to work well for mixed abilities.

What age is archery suitable for?

The minimum age is 8+. It’s also great fun for adults, making it ideal for families, couples and small groups. All under 18s must be supervised by an adult.

How long does the session last?

Sessions last 90 minutes. There’s time for guided practice, confidence-building coaching and a fun finish with scoring rounds and games.

Is archery physically demanding?

You don’t need extreme upper body strength. We use adjustable bows and focus on technique, which matters far more than power. Archery is suitable for most fitness levels.

Is it competitive?

It can be if you want it to be. We include friendly scoring games and challenges, but the atmosphere is relaxed and supportive — perfect for light-hearted rivalry or simply trying something new.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Avoid loose sleeves or dangling accessories, and dress for the weather as this is an outdoor activity.

What happens if it rains?

We run in light rain and typical British weather. We only cancel if conditions are unsafe. If we do need to cancel, we’ll be in touch with reschedule or credit options in line with the booking terms.

Where does archery take place?

We’re based in Beaulieu in the New Forest. Parking and toilets are on site and full joining instructions are sent after booking.

Will we be joining other people?

Most sessions are shared open sessions with a small group size and a relaxed atmosphere. If you’re booking for a larger group or want a private session, contact us and we’ll advise on options.

Can we cancel or move our booking?

If you need to make changes, contact us as early as possible. Booking terms are shown at checkout, and we aim to be flexible where we can, especially when weather is a factor.
