Your Team Building Questions, Answered

Hey folks! We get asked lots of questions about our team building events, so to make things super easy for you, we’ve put this super handy video together. Alternatively, you can read the answers to our most frequently asked questions below.

Why should we pick New Forest Activities for our team building event?

We are very blessed being based in the stunning New Forest and the only outdoor sports provider able to run activities on Beaulieu river, the only privately owned river in the UK. Our team is trained to the highest standard, coupled with expert experience, and can talk to people, like people.

What are your minimum and maximum numbers?

We tend to say a minimum of 8 people for a team building event. As for our maximum, we are yet to find our limit so GET IN TOUCH and we will see what we can do.

Are there places for the team to park?

All our sites have free parking, however, we advise car sharing where possible due to limited space. We do have a 16 seater minibus available for hire (click HERE for more information) or we can organise coach transport at an additional cost. Our nearest train station is a 10-minute drive away in Brockenhurst where you can also grab a local cab.

Is there anywhere to stay nearby?

There are plenty of stunning residential locations located in the New Forest nearby. Depending on which package you choose we can help organise a hotel and choose options suitable for your budget. If it's not included in your package, then we can organise this for you at an additional cost once the deposit is paid and you're booked in.

Do you provide catering?

All of our team build options include your staple tea, coffee and biscuits. Our full days include lunch, and depending on your package and activities they can range from a cold buffet to pub grub! Some packages also include breakfast upon arrival, and this can vary from bacon rolls to croissants. If members of your team have particular dietary requirements we are more than happy to cater to them as well.

I feel as if the team is too varied in age and ability, would this be an issue?

This is never an issue for us as we cater all of our team building sessions around your team and their needs. We work on a ‘Challenge By Choice’ basis and our team will make sure to find activities that are the right fit for your whole team. We want to make sure everyone leaves happy and fulfilled, which is why we offer our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.

Are we able to do a session outside our working hours?

In the Summer months, we can take advantage of long summer evenings and offer a post-work session. Our standard full days tend to be two three-hour private activities with an hour lunch break in between, and a half-day is a three-hour private activity. We can be fairly flexible though so if you have other times to adhere to then we can work around you.

How does payment work?

When it comes down to payment, we like to make things as simple as possible for you. We’ll work with you to recommend the most suitable package for you and your team, we’ll then collect a 50% deposit to secure your event. We’ll then be in touch 2 weeks prior to your event to confirm numbers and any final details before collecting the remaining amount. All payments can be issued by invoice, should you prefer.

What happens if the weather is bad and we want to cancel?

Our activities go ahead in almost all weathers and we’re experts at maximising the fun, even in the rain! If we are made aware that you wish to cancel your booking within 48 hours of your activity you will lose your payment and we will be unable to rebook you. If we are given 7-days notice, we can offer a full refund or credit. Between those times, 50% credit will be offered. We always cancel sessions and rebook or refund customers for no charge if we deem weather conditions to be unsafe.
