Take the river upstream or down, drift on tidal currents, or duck into hidden creeks. You'll be in stable, open Canadian-style canoes — perfect whether you've never paddled before or you're a seasoned explorer. The perfect way to get young kids out on the water. Join our family
canoe and kayak trips for a fantastic 90-minute session on the stunning Beaulieu
River. Learn the basics from expert guides and head out into the Nature
Reserve. Lots of wildlife to spot, areas to explore and fun to be had.
River Explorer
Available from April - October
The Beaulieu River Explorer experience is only for those of 12 years and over. Expect to cover a good distance on this extended trip through the Beaulieu Nature Reserve. Launching from our site at Bailey's Hard, the River Explorer gives you the option to explore the Beaulieu River further than on our family trips and hire sessions.

Spooky Halloween River Tour
Available from October
With so much history and stories of resident ghosts, are you brave enough to paddle the Beaulieu River’s dark waters by moonlight? Come in your best fancy dress and head out on the water in illuminated canoes, stopping along the way to hear ghoulish ghost stories from your nighttime guide. Plus, there’ll be hot chocolate and Halloween candy for everyone taking part!
Canoe Halloween Treasure Hunt

Treat (not trick) your little monsters to some scarily good fun on the Beaulieu River this Halloween. We’ll head out in our stable Canadian canoes on the hunt for devilishly delicious Halloween candy along the riverside. Make sure you come adorned in your spookiest Halloween costumes (if you’ve got it haunt it, right?) and join us for some fiendish fun on the water this October Half Term.
