There is a vast variety of things to do in The New Forest, whether you are looking to get out and get active or simply find a cafe for a scrumptious cream tea there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Some suggestions of things to do in The New Forest include a visit to some of the local villages, in particular, Beaulieu village is a popular place to go. Beaulieu's motor museum and palace house is a fantastic part to visit and very historical. Beaulieu also has some fantastic walks, the footpath along the river to Bucklers Hard is very picturesque. And, New Forest Activities is also based in the village offering our wide range of outdoor activities such as, Cycle hire, Archery, High and Low ropes, Kayaking and Canoeing along the river and Battlefield LIVE a laser combat game that gets you running around the woods.

Lyndhurst is another popular place to visit in the forest. Not far from Beaulieu, Lyndhurst is known for its famous Bolton’s Bench a stunning landmark that attracts not only visitors from all over the country but the New Forest local ponies who love to surround it too. A larger village than some Lyndhurst is fantastic for looking around unique shops, maybe even the Ferrari garage if you’re a car fanatic.

Lymington is a market town based on the edge of The New Forest, it is known for being a beautiful sailing village with two great sailing clubs. Lymington has a great selection of individual shops and boutiques. At the weekends there is an occasional market too. The ferry to the Isle of Wight also sets sail from Lymington.

Burley, famous for its exquisite hotel Burley Manor Hotel has a range of activities to do. Take a Sunday stroll along Burleys Sunday market or do something different and visit the stables for a lovely horse ride. Burley also has fantastic wagon rides and a New Forest Deer safari.
