New Forest Activities needs your help, and wants to help others too!

Posted April 4, 2020 | New Forest Activities

In light of the current situation regarding COVID-19/Coronavirus, New Forest Activities has been closed since Sunday 22nd of March 2020, until further notice.

Although some of our activities could be run, keeping to social distancing measures, it’s not appropriate to do so at this current time. As always, the safety and health of staff, customers, and all others is of the utmost importance.

Like so many other small, independent businesses, we now face an unpredictable and potentially very grave future and we need your help.

Put simply; without support and action during these times, New Forest Activities may struggle to survive and its staff team will be placed in a vulnerable financial position.

Due to the unknown duration of this lockdown, we are unable to even fully understand the level of impact this will have on our seasonal business. 80% of our revenue comes during March – September and without reliable cash flow, even with government support, we’re unlikely to remain open beyond the Summer months. You can help us and ensure we can come good on our pledge to help others too!

See a video below from one of our Director’s Sam, to find out how you can help:

So whether you’re a group of colleagues looking to come back together once the dust has settled, or perhaps you’re a group of friends or a family looking to enjoy the great outdoors to the fullest again, you can make a donation via our Crowdfunding page to help us get through this unusual and unpredictable time. We appreciate your help right now, more than you’ll ever know!

If you’re unable to help right now, because maybe your situation sucks too, why not join our Facebook Group, where we have a fun community with frequent competitions and offers.

With any luck, we’ll see you for some fun in the outdoors again soon enough!

Until then, take care of each other, be kind and stay safe!

We are now closed, but we’re still here for you!

Following Government advice, we have taken the very difficult decision to close New Forest Activities until further notice. We believe that this is the only suitable course of action, following the Prime Minister’s latest guidelines on social distancing.

Our priority continues to be safeguarding the wellbeing of our visitors and staff. We are supporting the measures to help beat coronavirus (Covid-19), so we can look forward to welcoming you back to New Forest Activities later in the year.

See a video below from one of our Director’s Sam, for more information:

In addition, we thought, why not try and give everyone something awesome to look forward to for when the dust settles? If you buy a gift voucher with us, we’ll give you 25% off, giving you more towards your activity when you eventually redeem them.

Plus, we understand that it’s uncertain times so we’re extending the expiry date of our vouchers to be valid until the end of August 2021. Buy now, adventure later!

Just use code VOUCHERSAVE25 at checkout to receive 25% off. But be quick, this offer is only valid for the first 100 vouchers sold!

Get in touch with us if you have any questions by calling us on 01590 612377, or you can email us on info@newforestactivities.co.uk.

We look forward to welcoming you back soon!

What we’re doing to help…

Posted March 19, 2020 | New Forest Activities

In the event that New Forest Activities needs to close the business, we are pledging to help our local New Forest communities with the aid that they need. For schools still staying open to accommodate children of keyworkers and/or vulnerable children, we will be offering free adventure days in the great outdoors. With the necessary safety precautions in place, we will aim to deliver safe and enjoyable activity days to help boost morale and to provide support to limited teaching staff.

We also have a lot of resources here at New Forest Activities, including staff and vehicles, and we’re on hand during this difficult time to help where we’re needed. Whether it be delivering food shopping or walking your dog, we’re here to help. See a video below from one of our Director’s Sam, for more information:

The following local Facebook groups are available for those that require help during this time, and we’ll be doing our bit to help them too:

Lyndhurst & Emery Down Community Emergencies Actions

Waterside Self-Isolation Support Group

Get in touch with us by calling us on 01590 612377, or you can email us on info@newforestactivities.co.uk.

Regarding your booking with us…

Regarding your booking with us…

If you’ve made a booking with us and you can’t attend due to Coronavirus concerns, our standard terms and conditions will apply however, we will do our very best to move your booking free of charge to a day more suitable for you (subject to availability) or we can issue you with a gift voucher to use at a later date. After all, when your self-isolation is over, you’ll certainly want something to look forward to in the great outdoors!

As I’m sure you can appreciate, requests for refunds are high at this time, so people who are eligible for a refund in line with our terms and conditions should expect a delay in receiving their payment.

Our duty of care…

During these uncertain times, if you’re not self-isolating, being out in the fresh air is certainly better than visiting built-up towns and cities where the risk of infection is higher. But as part of our duty of care to all visitors, we’re putting in place the necessary precautions to make your visit with us even safer; with increased anti-bacterial hand wash and increased cleaning for all of our kit, which is applicable at all of our activity sites. Take a look at the video below to see what precautions we’re taking in the face of Coronavirus:
