Come back together with friends or loved ones, in a safe outdoor environment.
We’ve all missed spending time with those closest to us
It’s been a while since we’ve been able to meet with our friends and loved ones, and with government guidance now beginning to relax, we can start to make up for lost time. Perhaps your child missed out on their birthday party with their friends this year? Or maybe you simply want to have some fun with your mates again. Here at New Forest Activities, we’re beginning to open up our group activities so that you can come together and enjoy the good times again.
How are we making our activities safer?
The safety and wellbeing of both our customers and staff are of the utmost importance, and we have adjusted our group activities to reflect this. Our instructors have been trained to deliver our activities in the safest possible way, whilst still providing you with a truly fun and memorable experience. This includes the implementation of strict social distancing throughout your session with us, as well as thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting our kit after every use. See our frequently asked questions to find out more.

What kind of groups can come together?

However, we will look to increase capacities when it has been deemed safe to do so. If booking for a larger group for the coming months, get in touch and we’ll be happy to help and advise the best options for you.
Kids Battlefield LIVE Parties
£160 for a party of 8 children | 2.5 hours
Our little ones have had a lot to process during the past few months. Why not treat them to a fun, action-packed experience with their friends? Children attending parties with us must be from the same school bubble, and we’re limiting numbers to no more than 8 children per party.
£200 for a group of 8 people | 2 hours
For family groups looking to spend time together again, you can choose from any of our activities for a fun and memorable outdoor adventure. Groups must be from no more than 5 different households and are limited to 8 people per group.
£260 for a group of 8 people | 2 hours
We’ll also be welcoming adult groups looking for some fun together in the great outdoors. From paddling on the Beaulieu River to swinging from the trees on our ropes course, our activities will be open again to groups of up to 8 people.
What activities are available?
Adult and family groups can choose from any of our wonderful New Forest adventures. Canoe or kayak on the stunning Beaulieu River, learn a new skill like Bushcraft or Archery in the New Forest woodland, or swing from the trees on our Low and High Ropes course.
For kids parties, currently, we’re only offering Battlefield LIVE parties. This is because the activity allows for better social distancing and doesn’t require adults to take part with them.

"Good processes in place for social distancing"
We had a great afternoon kayaking on the Beaulieu River. Staff were really friendly and helpful and there were really good processes in place for social distancing which made us feel safe.
"We had a lovely afternoon"
Our guide looked after us from the get-go and we felt very confident going out with him especially being complete novices. His interesting facts made the experience so much more fun. We really appreciated the lengths you have gone to observe social distancing and it was lovely to have a few hours away from all the madness going on at the moment and just enjoy the river. Thank you.
Lovely staff, great instructions from receipt of confirmation email with clear directions, to basic paddling tips, great welcome and totally thought-through plan to keep everyone safe with again, clear instructions. Time on the river was excellent with a knowledgable guide and interesting history of the river given. Highly recommend, well done all and thank you.
"We had a lovely time"
We had a lovely time for my Mums birthday, the instructors were very pleasant and overall had a fantastic memorable day. Social distancing and cleaning measures were all in place too, could not fault them!
"Nice location, easy going but informative"
We had a lovely day and all safety measures were in place.

Frequently Asked Questions
You’ve probably got some questions. Hopefully, we’ve answered them below.
How can you ensure that the activity will be safe?
We are taking extra precautions when it comes to running our activities during this time and our instructors have been trained to deliver them in the safest possible way. Social distancing will be paramount throughout your session and we are thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting our kit after every use.
How do you clean your kit?
We’ve ramped up our cleaning regime, with kit being cleaned after each individual use. For water-based activities, kit such as paddles and buoyancy aids are dunked into disinfectant and paddle handles are sprayed with disinfectant spray. For land-based activities, all kit is thoroughly wiped down and sprayed with disinfectant spray after every use.
What happens if I have to cancel due to Coronavirus?
We have outlined in our terms and conditions what should happen if you have to cancel your booking due to COVID-19, which you can see here.
What if people drop out of my group? Can I get some money back?
Please see our terms and conditions to find out more.
Do you provide plastic gloves and/or face masks?
Currently, we don’t provide these as we believe that the measures we have in place are adequate enough to ensure your absolute safety during your time with us. However, if you would like to bring your own, you’re very welcome to do so.
What happens if I capsize or need first aid?
We understand that social distancing is paramount, however so is your physical safety. In the unlikely event that you do capsize your boat, instructors will be on hand to show you how to get back into your boat, from a distance. Should an instructor need to make contact with you (such as those struggling to get back into boats, or those that require first aid) they will do so to ensure your absolute safety at all times.
Why would I bother if it's safer to stay at home?
Outdoor activities are beneficial for both your physical and mental health, and we welcome those that would like to make the most of their time in the great outdoors again. We also have extra safety precautions in place to ensure your safety at all times, however we understand that people may still not want to take part – and that’s ok!
Do you offer private sessions?
We certainly do! Please click here for more information.
What activities can we do as a group?
Adult and family groups can choose from any of our activities! See here to see what’s available. For kids parties, we’re currently only offering Battlefield LIVE parties, as this activity allows for better social distancing and doesn’t require any adults to take part with them.
How many people can I book for?
Throughout June 2020, we’re limiting the number of people we allow to book as a group to no more than 8 people. However over the coming months (July/August onwards) as restrictions relax we will look to increase capacities where and when it is safe to do so. Still not sure if your group can book? Get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
Why are numbers currently limited to 8 people?
This allows us to run groups with one instructor, helping to keep numbers down. This is also a safe number to allow us to manage social distancing measures effectively.
If I have a group of less than 8 people, can I book?
Unfortunately, group activities and prices are based on 8 people minimum. However, if you’re a group of fewer than 8 people, you can book any of our standard activities. The selection of activities that are currently available can be found here.
I would like longer than 2 hours for my group activity. Is this possible?
Certainly! Get in touch with us and we can speak to you about your options.
Is there anywhere to have party food after our activity?
Usually, yes. But due to COVID-19, we’re currently not allowing groups to stay behind after their activity with us, and we politely ask that customers vacate the site as soon as possible. This helps us to avoid crowds of people gathering on-site.
Can parents stay on-site during a kids party?
We’re currently not allowing parents to stay on-site whilst their child attends a party with us, and we politely ask that parents vacate the site as soon as possible after drop-off. This helps us to avoid crowds of people gathering on-site.
Parents who have organised the party, or those required to take part in activities for safety reasons, are permitted to stay.
Are you providing overalls for Battlefield LIVE at the moment?
We’re currently not providing overalls for Battlefield LIVE, so we advise that you wear old clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting a bit grubby in.
