Meet The New Forest Activities Team

Who are the friendly faces behind New Forest Activities?

We enjoy our work and it’s always a pleasure to meet new people and help you find what you enjoy about this wonderful National Park.

Rich Pearsall & Sam Sutton started Liquid Logistics in 2003 on Beaulieu River in the New Forest. Our team has grown in strength over the years and in 2012 we have a fantastic office team and some of the most talented instructors we’ve come across. You’re sure of a great course and brilliant adventures on the water.

Starting and running New Forest Activities has been a great adventure. Its a pleasure to meet new people who share a love of the great outdoors. I became hooked on Paddling at university and still find it an exciting and challenging sport. I am very proud of what we have built over our first 10 years and know there will be a lot more excitement over the next 10.

In 2003, our university dream started to become reality and we’ve been living it ever since.  I love the expression of nature and The New Forest demonstrates this beautifully.  Wild spaces, wild animals and ancient trees, you can really sense our connection to the past and witness how we’re shaping our future. It’s great to be part of something bigger than yourself!

Office Staff

Julie PurverJulie Purver

The New Forest Activities Manager. After ripping up the slopes as a ski instructor, Julie has settled down to run the bookings office. Adding a element of class to all of our courses, if she’s not in the office Julie can be found out on the water with the rest of the Liquid crew cruising around and topping up her tan!

Lauren Robbins

Lauren joined our team in March 2011 on an apprentice scheme. After learning the ropes she is now taking bookings and looking after our shop in the High Street. If she’s not booking you on to one of our fantastic courses, she can be found floating around in a canoe on the Beaulieu River or practising her Zumba!

Studying Outdoor Ed at Uni gave me a great insight into the wonderful world of outdoor pursuits. My job gives me the opportunity to help other people to enjoy this wonderful part of the country, in a great range of ways! Working for NFA is great fun and very rewarding, I am one of the lucky ones here, as I work on all of the activities we offer!

After discovering the New Forest whilst at university in Southampton, its stunning natural beauty provides the perfect place for rest and work before the next adventure! Mountain bikes and sea kayaks are the best way to have a blast after a great day paddling in the sunshine on the Beaulieu River, keeping fit for the next destination…

I love to be in the outdoors keeping active and taking in the beautiful scenery that the New Forest has to offer. Working on the water gives me a sense of such calm and tranquility and it never ceases to amaze at how that feeling spreads so quickly through our customers. To see each person take something special from their day really makes my job worth doing.

James MarcerJames Marcer

I am the Apprentice / Assistant Coach at New Forest Activities with one solid year of experience to share with hundreds of new customers each week. You can usally catch me putting a shine on the bikes, exchanging skills with eager to learn clients or hitting waves in my kayak. You most certainly won’t find me asleep on the sofa during the day! Here is some of my paddling action.

I’ve been here since the start and I am now looking after all our Battlefield LIVE equipment and gaming.  I enjoy spending time developing the game areas; it keeps players on their toes as it’s never the same twice.

I work in the most prime outdoor location in the country, what else can I say?! I’m the media geek of the company, usually running around taking photos and videos of happy clients on activities! If I’m not doing any of that I’ll be around on the water (or land!) with clients and enjoying the Beaulieu river. The best part of the job is definitely the awesome team, location and wicked clients. Want to see the videos? Check them out.

Joining in with the action this year and just love getting stuck in on the water and in the Battlefield. I have just completed an Outdoor Course with one of the local colleges and I’m now all over this activities thing.
