Just because the seasons have changed doesn’t mean there is nothing to see on the river. From the turning leaves to the glistening frosts, there is a whole new world of wonders to see with New Forest Activities. The key to making the most out of your time with us is to dress correctly for the time of year and activity.
Being on the water requires 2 specific layers: a warm fleece coat and a waterproof layer. So layering up with a top waterproof layer is essential to keep the water and wind off you. On your hands you need to have a normal warm gloves and then wear latex or washing up gloves over the top so the water doesn’t get on your warm layer to stop your hands from getting cold from the splashing water when paddling. Add to these a warm hat a scarf and you will stay nice and warm for your activity so you can completely enjoy it.
We can provide you with a waterproof layer for your top half, but not the insulating fleece layer you need, or the gloves in either layer. You also need to be wearing your own suitable trousers, NO JEANS!
For footwear you need to wear sensible shoes with thick socks to keep your feet warm. Not welly-boots or flip flops and not your best trainers. You need to wear durable footwear such as trainers or walking shoes.
