My New Forest Story - First hand experiences of those who have enjoyed time with us.
This is about Karen, she had bought vouchers for others to enjoy New Forest Activities before but now it was her son’s turn and he chose Battlefield LIVE. She summed up; A fantastic 2 hours of adrenalin filled fun for all the family! What will your story be? We’d love to hear from you!

Who we are & why I chose New Forest Activities: My son really wanted to do an urban battle for his 12th birthday with parents and friends, having seen kids enjoying this experience during an open day at Sopley Camp last summer. I knew it would be well organised as I have bought vouchers from New Forest Activities for his friends in the past and they have told me how much they enjoyed their day. This activity venue was also ideally located for us, as it was only a few minutes from our home.
The activities I’ve done: Our group of four kids and four adults took part in an open session of Battlefield Live at Sopley Camp near Bransgore on 2nd February 2013 for 2 hours.
Here’s my story: Our excitement started to build after the training briefing when we were put into two large teams. We got into role as we donned our camouflage jackets, hats and face paint, before selecting our laser tag guns and receiving our instructions from the friendly staff.
By the end of four games, both groups of strangers had developed some sort of team strategy, as we improved our skills at attack and defence. The friendly, supportive staff encouraged and motivated us throughout the games. Our competitive sides came out as both teams were determined to get the most points and to successfully invade or dominate a base. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed trying to shoot my husband, son and friends on the opposing team as they advanced towards us!
It must have been a funny sight to see us clambering in and out of windows and buildings and peering around corners, but not as much fun as taking part! I’m not sure who enjoyed running around shooting the most, the adults or the kids! Eight very tired and hungry people arrived home for a late lunch and we couldn’t stop talking about it. My son had a memorable birthday treat and we definitely all want to do it again.
How I’d sum up my experience: A fantastic 2 hours of adrenalin filled fun for all the family – highly recommended.
